Job summary

Smithfield Foods, Inc. is seeking a livestock loading associate to sort and load animals, move them between pens and aisles, and ensure safe, efficient operations. You will work day or night shifts, use loading equipment, and help maintain equipment while following safety policies.

Anticipate contributing to a positive work environment, respecting PG&E? policies and helping the team meet production goals. Relocation package available and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork are valued.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous livestock handling helpful.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to do hard physical labor.
• Strong commitment to teamwork.
• Ability to use loading equipment and tools.
• Ability to work day or night shifts.
• Must support the mission of raising swine for high quality pork products.
• Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for understanding and complying with Environmental, Biosecurity and safety policies.
• Reads and understands emergency notification process.
• Complies with PPE policies.
• Assists in training other loading employees as required.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Your Opportunity Compensation: $14.49/hourly

Core Responsibilities
