HOA Talent in Washington DC is seeking a Director of Operations to own the employee lifecycle and brand. The role blends HR with marketing support, working with managers to maintain coverage, morale, and retention across teams.

You’ll lead onboarding, offboarding, PTO administration, and compliance, while also overseeing website content, community outreach, and proposals for new business. This position is hybrid in DC and requires strong verbal and written English skills.

Formación

• 5+ years of HR generalist experience including onboarding and offboarding
• Experience administering PTO, COBRA, 401k, and health benefits
• I-9 and new hire compliance knowledge
• Experience drafting PIPs, warnings, and position descriptions
• Experience with Monday.com, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom
• Marketing experience: website content, proposals, or event planning
• Strong written and verbal English communication

Responsabilidades

• Run onboarding and offboarding end to end: paperwork, background checks, I-9, system access, benefits termination, COBRA
• Administer the PTO system with weekly reporting and manager coverage
• Recruit and retain talent: post jobs, screen resumes, schedule interviews, maintain descriptions
• Draft and deliver performance improvement plans and warnings as neutral liaison
• Develop SOPs and retention practices to improve performance and tenure
• Manage the company website: employee bios, photos, and updates
• Support new business with leads, proposals, and pitches
• Plan community outreach and employee morale events

HOA/COA Director of Operations

Washington DC, hybrid
$110,000 - 120,000/year

The Role
You will own the employee lifecycle and the company's brand. That covers hiring, onboarding, offboarding, and PTO administration on the HR side, plus website, community outreach, and new business support on the marketing side. You will work directly with managers across teams to keep coverage, morale, and retention strong.

What You'll Do

• Run onboarding and offboarding end to end: paperwork, background checks, I-9, system access, benefits termination, and COBRA


• Administer the PTO system, including weekly PTO reporting and manager backup coverage for planned and unscheduled leave


• Recruit and retain talent: post jobs, screen resumes, schedule interviews, and maintain position descriptions


• Draft and deliver performance improvement plans and written and verbal warnings as the company's neutral liaison


• Develop SOPs and retention practices that improve employee performance and tenure


• Manage the company website: employee bios, photos, managed property list, and departure updates


• Support new business with leads, proposals, and pitches


• Plan community outreach (board round tables, board trainings, association grants), the volunteer program, and employee morale events

What We're Looking For (Required)

• 5+ years of HR generalist experience, including onboarding, offboarding, and employee relations


• Experience administering PTO, COBRA, 401k, and health benefits


• I-9 and new hire compliance knowledge


• Experience drafting PIPs, warnings, and position descriptions


• Experience with Monday.com, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom


• Marketing experience: website content, proposals, or event planning


• Strong written and verbal English communication

Nice to Have

• Community association or multi-family property management experience


• Familiarity with Vantaca and HappyCo


• Experience managing a company website CMS

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $110,000 - 120,000/year


• Employee medical, dental, and vision paid 100% by the company, eligible the month after 60 days


• 401k, eligible the month after 90 days


• Paid holidays and PTO, with PTO eligible the month after 90 days
