RTX in the United States is hiring a Heavy Maintenance Center Quality Engineer in Midwest City, Oklahoma. The role supports MRO operations, collaborates with inspectors, engineers, and the operations team to ensure quality and efficiency.

The successful candidate will lead root cause investigations, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives, with travel up to 10% and the ability to obtain a US security clearance. Onsite work with RTX benefits applies.

Heavy Maintenance Center Quality Engineer

The HMC Quality team is seeking a highly talented and motivated Quality Engineer to join our team.The HMC performs Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul of the engine in a public / private partnership with the US Air Force.

What You Will Do:

• The selected candidate must be able to work closely with Quality Inspectors, Process & Methods Engineers, Operations Team to support MRO Operations.
• Demonstrate a high level of customer focus, business judgment and teamwork.
• Demonstrated ability to interface and lead cross functional teams.
• Communicate with various levels of management, business partners and supply base.
• Collect and analyze data to minimize workflow disruptions and eliminate nonconformances/escapes.
• Lead the investigation of quality related work stops and turn-backs using Quality Improvement tools such as Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Process Analysis support and facilitate investigations to determine root cause and corrective actions while preventing future recurrence.
• Manage escapes and investigations to determine root cause and corrective actions while preventing future recurrence.
• Lead Quality System, process, and product audits.
• Assist 3rd Party Audits as required
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Generate and modify applicable Quality System documentation to ensure processes and requirements are clearly defined.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline or business field or equivalent experience and 2 years relevant experience.
• This is an onsite position working at our Midwest City, Oklahoma location.
• Ability to obtain a US Government security clearance.
• Travel up to 10%.
• MS Office proficiency: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams & SharePoint required.
• Experience with AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality systems.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Quality experience.
• Practical CORE/Six Sigma experience or Lean Systems experience a plus.
• Experience in ERP systems such as SAP and Solumina.
• Jet Engine Manufacturing/Assembly/Overhaul experience.

• Onsite : Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
