Job summary

Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, MI, is seeking a Design & Release Engineer for HLM closure hardware systems. You will own concepts, DV/PV, PPAP, and production launch while partnering with Body, Design, CAE, Quality, and suppliers to meet targets for quality, mass, and cost.

You will drive continuous improvement by analyzing warranty data, improving durability, and optimizing system performance across the vehicle lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2+ years of engineering experience in design, development, validation, or launch.
• Experience with CAD and PLM tools such as CATIA, Teamcenter, 3DEXPERIENCE.

Responsibilities

• Lead HLM closure hardware design, development, and integration with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
• Apply GPDS to plan, schedule, and execute engineering deliverables across the product lifecycle.
• Review CAD models, drawings, and supplier data for compliance with Ford standards and program requirements.
• Monitor and drive reliability, mass, and cost optimization throughout the lifecycle.
