VCU Health is seeking a High Level Disinfection Technician Assistant to support decontamination and sterilization of instruments and equipment. You will help prepare case carts and ensure supplies are ready, while upholding strict patient confidentiality under HIPAA rules.

Requirements include a high school diploma, and certification in GI/endoscope processing within 24 months of hire. Preference given to those with prior HL disinfection experience and online VCUHS reprocessing training.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current GI/Endoscope certification from CBSPD or IAHCSMM or must be achieved within 24 months of hire.
• Experience preferred: HL Disinfection or sterile processing in healthcare.
• After employment: complete online VCUHS reprocessing course for flexible endoscopes.
• IAHCSMM/CBSPD certification maintenance is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with decontamination and sterilization of all instruments and equipment.
• Maintain inventory and par levels of instruments and supplies.
• Follow OSHA and TJC guidelines.
• Rotate shifts including weekends and holidays as required.
