Job summary

CVCH is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician I, II to support the Sterile Processing Department by decontaminating, assembling, and sterilizing instruments, and applying universal precautions. The role requires attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure, and collaboration with other departments to maintain infection control standards.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, BLS/CPR or ability to obtain within 90 days, and eligibility for Medical Assistant-Registered

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS or CPR certification required or must be obtainable within 90 days of employment.
• Must be eligible for Medical Assistant-Registered Licensure.
• One year or less experience in a clinic setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, clean, process, assemble and sterilize instruments per department policies.
• Inspect, test, assemble, package and label instruments for sterilization.
• Perform quality control testing and maintenance of SPD equipment.
• Utilize tracking software for all department processes.
• Transport contaminated and sterile instruments between SPD and customers.
