Job summary

DeepHealth seeks a Forward Deployment Engineer, HL7 Integration to drive HL7 and DICOM integrations with customers’ clinical systems. You will design configurations, coach teams, resolve complex interface issues and convert recurring needs into configurable product capabilities.

You will lead technical discovery, validate interfaces in Mirth Connect/NextGen, and act as the customer-facing technical lead during go-lives and escalations while aligning with Product and Engineering on AI-enabled

Qualifications

• 8+ years in healthcare IT integration or clinical systems (required).
• 5+ years HL7 v2.x interface design in a customer-facing/implementation role (required).
• Experience with an integration engine (Mirth Connect strongly preferred).
• Strong understanding of RIS, PACS, EHR workflows (required).
• Working knowledge of DICOM and HL7 mapping (required).
• Proficiency in JavaScript, SQL, and message/log analysis (required).
• Customer-facing collaboration and escalation experience (required).
• FHIR R4 and IHE profiles preferred; CIIP/PARCA preferred.
• Experience in regulated medical device environments and ITIL preferred.
• Microsoft Office experience required.

Responsibilities

• Own integration solution design for customers, mapping workflows to HL7 and DICOM interfaces.
• Lead technical discovery with customers and implementation teams.
• Build and validate interfaces in the integration engine with mappings and tests.
• Publish integration playbooks and train teams on standard specifications.
• Serve as customer-facing technical lead during go-lives and escalations.
• Provide escalation support for HL7/integration issues (20–30% of time).
• Establish change control for site-specific interface customizations.
• Convert recurring needs into standard product capabilities.
• Define AI adoption requirements for clinical data integration and adoption.
