Job summary

DeepHealth is seeking a Forward Deployment Engineer to drive HL7 and DICOM integrations with customer clinical systems in a fast-paced healthcare IT environment.

The role combines engineering depth across HL7/DICOM, radiology workflow knowledge, and direct customer communication to design integrations, coach teams, resolve complex issues, and convert recurring needs into configurable product capabilities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in healthcare IT integration or clinical systems.
• Proficiency in JavaScript for interface transformers, SQL and message/log analysis.
• Experience with HL7 v2.x interfaces in customer-facing roles, radiology focus preferred.
• Strong understanding of RIS, PACS, modality worklist, reporting and EHR workflows.
• Experience with at least one integration engine (Mirth/NextGen preferred).
• Familiarity with DICOM mapping and HL7-to-DICOM attributes relations.

Responsibilities

• Own integration solution design mapping radiology workflows to HL7 and DICOM interfaces.
• Lead technical discovery with customers and implementation teams.
• Build and validate interfaces in the integration engine, including mappings and tests.
• Provide escalation support for HL7 and integration issues during go-lives.
• Publish integration playbooks and baselines for repeatable deployments.
• Serve as customer-facing technical lead during go-lives, hypercare and escalations.
