The Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) is seeking a Student Co‑op in the Electronic Systems Laboratory (ELSYS), TEN division, for the Spring 2027 term. You will gain hands‑on experience in hardware‑in‑the‑loop testing and real‑time EO/IR/RF environments, while supporting software and hardware integration projects.

Eligible candidates must be pursuing an engineering degree with a 3.0+ GPA and be able to participate in three full‑time co‑op terms prior to graduation, with US citizenship and

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• GPA 3.0+ and eligibility for a co‑op credit with your university.
• Must complete at least three full‑time co‑op terms prior to graduation.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical and mechanical subsystems for test stations.
• CAD modelling of systems and test stations.
• Fabrication and assembly of test station subsystems.
• System engineering tasks including requirements design, test architecture, and performance analysis.
• Data capture and analysis of RF analog and digital signals.
• System testing using test equipment incl. oscillosopes and spectrum analyzers.
• Schematic capture and PCB layout for PCB designs.
• Design of validation test equipment for new PCB designs.
