Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) in Smyrna, GA, invites applications for a Spring 2027 Student Co-op in the Test Engineering Division (TEN) within ELSYS. You will gain hands-on experience in hardware-in-the-loop test stations, RF/EO/IR testing, and system engineering while alternating full-time work terms with full-time study.

Under the guidance of GTRI researchers, you will design subsystems, model CAD, fabricate test hardware, capture and analyze RF data, and contribute to PCB

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related
• 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA
• Must be eligible to participate in a co-op program and register for co-op credit
• Must be able to complete at least three full-time co-op terms prior to graduation

Responsabilités

• Design electrical and mechanical subsystems for test stations
• CAD modelling of systems, subsystems, and test stations
• Fabrication and assembly of test station subsystems
• System engineering tasks such as requirements design, test architecture and development
• Data capture and analysis of RF analog and digital signals
• System testing using oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers
• Schematic capture and PCB layout for designs
• Design of validation test equipment for new PCB designs
