Job summary

Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) is seeking a Student Intern in the Electronic Systems Laboratory (ELSYS) Test Engineering Division (TEN) for Spring 2027. The role focuses on hardware-in-the-loop test stations, RF/EOIR environments, and automated test activities under experienced researchers.

The intern will assist with CAD modeling, subsystem fabrication, data capture and RF signal analysis, and both PCB design and validation test equipment development, gaining hands-on experience in test

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field of study.
2.0 or higher cumulative GPA
Must be registered for Full-time Internship Credit

Responsibilities

Design of electrical and mechanical subsystems used in test stations
CAD modelling of systems, subsystems, and test stations
Fabrication and assembly of test station subsystems
System engineering tasks such as requirements design, test architecture and development and performance analysis
Data capture and analysis of RF analog and digital signals
System testing using test equipment such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers
Schematic capture and layout for PCB designs
Design of validation test equipment for new PCB designs
