Role Overview

The HIT National Account Director will be a key member of the Pfizer Internal Medicine Account Management team, leading customer engagement with leading health systems, national accounts, and advanced HIT initiatives.

The primary role involves supporting HIT/EHR-related initiatives within national health systems, strategic accounts, and advanced projects, focusing on leveraging technology, data, and workflow design to improve patient diagnosis, treatment, and management.

The role includes developing and executing HIT strategies aligned with therapeutic goals and KPIs across the Internal Medicine portfolio, ensuring a cohesive approach to Digital/HIT strategy development.

The candidate should demonstrate leadership capabilities, including influencing, collaborating, coaching, and guiding colleagues to achieve impactful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as Pfizer's HIT customer-facing lead working with national and strategic accounts to redesign care around patient needs using health information technology.
  • Develop capabilities to identify new engagement opportunities within national health systems.
  • Provide technical support, lead stakeholder relationships, and offer deep marketplace expertise for HIT projects and pilots.
  • Ensure delivery of scalable HIT-enabled care redesign solutions across the US.
  • Share insights from HIT projects to refine strategies and optimize approaches with health systems.
  • Contribute to the development of tools and resources utilizing HIT, digital, and data capabilities.
  • Work effectively with multiple account teams and oversee the HIT Advisory Panel program.
  • Support brand teams and marketers with strategic insights and resources for HIT initiatives.
  • Collaborate with legal, regulatory, and medical stakeholders on HIT tactics.

Basic Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree and advanced degree or certifications in a Health IT/Informatics field.
  • Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Extensive experience in health information technology applications across healthcare settings.
  • Hands-on experience with top EHR products (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven leadership in influencing and coaching teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Disease state expertise in therapeutic areas such as CV, Oncology, Rare Disease, etc.
