Vistant invites a Histotechnologist to support the DHA JPC Contract at onsite locations in Silver Spring, MD and Bethesda, MD. The role emphasizes archival of slides, staining, and meticulous record-keeping, with a 3rd shift from 9:00pm to 6:00am and a hourly pay rate of $40–$42.

Ideal candidates will have at least five years of tissue processing and staining experience, ASCP Histology certification, and strong organization and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Five years of histotechnologist experience in preservation, processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining (incl. special stains and IHC).
• Experience with archival inventory and cataloging of slides, blocks, or scans in a medical/clinical setting.

Responsabilités

• Archive, catalog, and file slides; identify stains using a microscope.
• Process, embed, microtomy, and perform routine and immunohistochemistry staining.
• Maintain spreadsheets and databases for archival purposes; organize slides for long-term storage.
