Job summary

Qualifications
- Baccalaureate degree with biology/chemistry credits required.
- Completion of NAACLS-accredited Histotechnician/Histotechnologist program within last five years.
- HT(ASCP) certification or HTL certification to be obtained within 18 months of hire.
Responsibilities
- Obtain and accession histology specimens with correct patient identification.
- Process tissues and embed for slide preparation.
- Grossing under pathologist supervision.
- Perform immunohistochemical staining using automated stainer.
- File blocks and slides; maintain organized storage.
- Assist with cytology accessioning and processing as needed.
- Prepare slides for microscopic examination and review.
