Qualifications

• Successful completion of a NAACLS accredited Histotechnician program.
• Or at least 60 semester hours (90 quarter hours) with biology and chemistry and one year histopathology experience under a pathologist, or ASCP HT certification.
• Training in tissue fixation, microtomy, processing, staining, and immunohistochemistry.
• Deliver outstanding customer service upholding CarolinaEast standards.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine Histology procedures with accuracy and precision.
• Maintains instruments and equipment.
• Prepares and sections tissue, coverslips as required.
• Performs clerical duties as needed to support the histology workflow.
