Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biological or life sciences with 2 years of histology experience.
• Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).

Responsibilities

• Answer questions, troubleshoot equipment, and support interdepartmental projects.
• Troubleshoot on-hold cases and ensure sample movement through the lab.
• Train new employees on relevant tasks.
• Operate a microtome to prepare slides from paraffin blocks.
• Perform automated H&E and manual staining.
• Prepare samples for nucleic acid extraction.
• Maintain equipment and perform routine maintenance.
• Maintain specimen integrity and quality control.
