Abbott is seeking a Histotechnologist I to perform a variety of histology laboratory procedures in a CLIA/CAP-certified histopathology lab at the Phoenix, AZ site. You will adhere to safety, quality controls, and SOPs while learning pathology and molecular aspects of histology.

Schedule: Wednesday - Saturday 11:00am – 9:30pm. Strong teamwork, meticulous data handling, and the ability to work nights/weekends as needed are essential.

Competenze

• Successful completion of a NAACLS accredited Histotechnician program or equivalent.
• 2+ years of laboratory experience (one year can be counted from program completion).
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Mansioni

• Routine sectioning, fixation, and processing procedures for H&E slides.
• Prepare and perform DNA/RNA extraction procedures.
• Label accessioned samples and test requisitions using LIS.
• Perform routine FF/FFPE tissue processing and tumor estimation prep.
• Enter data into LIS and IMS; manage slides and tissue blocks.
• Maintain histology equipment and documentation; QC worksheets.
