Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree or 60 credits with biology and chemistry preferred.
• 2 years of histology experience or ASCP Histotechnician HT certification preferred.
• ASCP Histotechnician HT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and accession surgical, biopsy, and autopsy specimens for processing and microscopic exam.
• Assist pathologists and residents in gross dissection and special procedures.
• Embed tissues, cut, stain, and label slides; perform special stains and undecalcified bone processing.
• Maintain equipment, document QC, and manage workload with minimal supervision.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and corporate compliance standards.
