Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires 2 years of histology technician experience.
• Familiar with histology processing, embedding, microtomy and staining.
• Knowledge of safety and regulatory guidelines for lab work.

Responsibilities

• Registers, orders, and accession pathology specimens into computer systems.
• Performs tissue processing, embedding, microtomy and staining, and handles specimens.
• Carefully prepares specimens for research requests and transport to sites.
• Assists pathologists with frozen sections and IHC testing as applicable.
