Innova Solutions in Dallas, TX is immediately hiring a Histotechnician for a 13-week contract. This full-time role focuses on preparing specimens for microscopic evaluation and maintaining laboratory instrumentation.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of histology experience, embedding, microtomy and special stains, ASCP HT/HTL certification and BLS; benefits include medical, dental, 401(k) and more. The position requires strict adherence to QA, safety and infection control procedures and

Responsibilities

• Prepares specimens for microscopic evaluation and diagnosis by creating slide preparations.
• Operates and maintains laboratory instrumentation with minimum supervision.
• Performs various technical procedures resulting in microscopic slide preparations.
• Follows quality control, quality assurance, safety, and infection control procedures.
• Performs instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Maintains appropriate inventory of supplies.
• Maintains effective communication with laboratory personnel and external customers.

Job Description

Innova Solutions has a client that is immediately hiring for a Histotechnician.

Position type: Full-time - Contract

Duration: 13 weeks

Location: Dallas, TX

Shift: 5x8s, 8:00am - 4:30pm; Monday – Friday; 40hours/week

As a Histotechnician, you will:

• Prepares specimens for microscopic evaluation and diagnosis by performing technical procedures that result in creation of microscopic slide preparation.
• Operates and maintains Laboratory instrumentation, records and documentation with minimum supervision.
• Perform variety of technical procedures resulting in creation of microscopic slide preparations.
• Follow quality control, quality assurance, safety, and infection control procedures.
• Perform instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Maintain appropriate inventory of supplies.
• Maintain effective communication and working relationships with all laboratory personnel, other disciplines, and external customers.

The ideal candidate will have:

• 2 years minimum experience.
• Additional Notes: Embedding, Microtomy, Special Stains
• Scrub Color: Any color, no inappropriate prints

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Certification/Degree Requirements: BLS (AHA Only), ASCP (HT or HTL)

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

Weekly Gross = $1700 - $1790 per week
