Job summary

Atrium Health Navicent Health Medical Center is seeking a Histotechnician AHN to prepare and process histology slides, embed, cut and stain specimens for examination under supervision. The role involves supporting pathologists in gross exams, maintaining QC records and assisting in immunoperoxidase staining as needed.

Full-time, 40 hours per week, schedule 3 AM–11 AM with rotating holidays. Eligible for sign-on bonus based on eligibility; pay range listed publicly.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School or GED Diploma and have successfully completed an approved histological technique program.

Responsibilities

• Performs and evaluates histological procedures.
• Prepares microscope slides from surgical and autopsy material, embedding, cutting and staining.
• Assists in renal biopsy procedures and gross pathology examinations.
• Maintains records for blocks, slides and stains; prepares solutions and stains; ensures safety and chemical inventory.
