Job summary

The University of Michigan's Department of Social Sciences is seeking a History Student Ambassador who is hardworking, enthusiastic, and motivated. You will help develop communication and presentation skills while exploring historical contexts through diverse perspectives.

The role involves coordinating events, speaking with prospective History majors at open houses, supporting outreach to our majors, and assisting at recruitment and enrollment events.

Qualifications

• Must be a History major.
• Must be a current student.
• Must maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA.
• Possess dependability and leadership skills.
• Reliable transportation to campus.

Responsibilities

• Attending two CASL open houses to speak with prospective History majors.
• Organizing at least one event for History majors and minors during the winter semester.
• Meeting with History faculty a few times to plan these activities and discuss outreach to our majors.
• Assist at recruitment and enrollment events and student communications.
