Job summary

The Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts (CPA) seeks a Site Manager for the Caddo Mounds State Historic Site. Responsibilities include senior-level park management, budget development, resource stewardship, visitor services, and educational program planning.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in Business, History, American Studies, Archeology, Museum Studies or closely related field with museum coursework.
• Minimum four years’ experience in cultural resources, historic sites, or museum field.
• Minimum two years of administrative and supervisory experience directing a museum or historic site.
• Site may have onsite residence with additional duties and nominal rent.
• Must travel up to 10% of the work period.

Responsibilities

• Hire and supervise site staff.
• Direct day-to-day operations of the site, including visitor services, programs, safety and security.
• Plan, develop and evaluate programs and operations.
• Develop techniques for evaluating operations and programs.
• Coordinate with division leadership and headquarters staff.
