Job summary

Dr Pepper Museum in Downtown Waco, Texas, seeks an Associate Director of Facilities and Exhibits to lead maintenance, safety, and exhibition fabrication. This hybrid leadership role reports to the Deputy Director and focuses on safeguarding our historic site while delivering engaging experiences for visitors.

You bring 7+ years in facilities or exhibit management, with knowledge of building systems, CMMS, and vendor oversight.

Qualifications

At least 7 years of progressive facility or exhibit management experience.
Experience in a museum, historic property, or cultural institution preferred.
Technical understanding of building systems and exhibit fabrication.
Bilingual ability in Spanish and English is a major asset.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations, maintenance, and long‑term planning for historic museum buildings, grounds, and infrastructure.
Lead major renovations, historic preservation, and new construction from concept to completion.
Ensure compliance with ADA, OSHA, fire safety, and SHPO guidelines.
Collaborate with the creative team to fabricate, install, and maintain exhibitions.
Manage technical aspects of exhibits, including lighting, AV, and interactive components.
Build maintenance workflows to guarantee a flawless visitor experience.
