George Washington's Mount Vernon Estate is seeking a full-time groundskeeper to maintain turf, landscapes, trees, roads, and trails. The role is outdoor, essential, with some weekend and holiday work and a valid driver S license.

Salary ranges are $17.00–$21.00/hour based on skills and experience; 40 hours per week. Responsibilities include mowing, trimming, weed control, pruning, road maintenance, debris removal, storm drainage support, leaf cleanup, water during establishment or drought, and

Qualifications

• Two years of relevant experience required.
• Valid driverS license required.
• Experience operating farm and turf equipment (tractors, trimmers, mowers, blowers).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Mow, trim, weed, fertilize and maintain turf as part of the estates ground maintenance program.
• Keep landscapes groomed through edging, mulching, weed control, and pruning.
• Maintain roads and fire lanes; clear debris and potholes; use hand tools and equipment.
• Perform tree and debris removal; haul logs; cut to size for removal or firewood.
• Trash and recycling collection across the estate.
• Assist with storm drainage maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Leaf removal during fall using tools and blowers.
• Water trees, shrubs and turf during establishment or drought.
• Assist with construction projects by digging, mixing concrete, and moving materials.
• Support other departments with moves and equipment transport.
