Job summary

Upon successful completion, you will advance to Histotechnologist I, contributing to diagnostic support in a large regional health system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous clinical laboratory or healthcare exposure preferred.
• Strong PC and data entry skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedding skills by recognizing tissue type and orientation; prepare blocks and sections.
• Operate the microtome, prepare paraffin sections, and assess section quality.
• Assist with routine H&E staining and slide preparation under supervision.
• Learn immunohistochemistry (IHC) and advanced histology techniques.
• Maintain safety, documentation, and quality control of runs and supplies.
