Job summary

Grandview Medical Center is seeking a Histology Technologist to perform processing, embedding, cutting, and staining of tissue specimens for microscopic examination. You will ensure high-quality slides, adhere to protocols, and support diagnostic accuracy in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities include operating histology instruments, maintaining equipment, conducting quality control, labeling specimens, and assisting with data entry.

Qualifications

• Accredited Histology program completion or related degree.
• 1–2 years histology experience preferred.
• Ability to follow established protocols and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Receives, processes, embeds, cuts, stains, and prepares tissue specimens.
• Operates and maintains histology instruments; performs basic maintenance.
• Performs quality control procedures and document results.
• Verifies specimen identification and accurate labeling.
• Maintains clean, safe lab workspace and proper waste disposal.
• Assists with clerical duties and data entry as needed.
• Demonstrates knowledge of age-specific considerations in tissue processing.
