Qualifications

• HT certification required by ASCP BOC.

• Ability to meet physical requirements including lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Accession and label specimens for testing.
• Cut quality tissue sections and mount on slides.
• Embed tissue in paraffin blocks and maintain slide filing.
• Process tissues for preservation and infiltration.
• Perform routine and special stains and immunohistochemistry.
• Assist pathologists during procedures and with frozen sections.
• Maintain compliance with accrediting standards.
