Qualifikationen

• An Associate of Science degree is required.
• 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with tissue preparation and processing is required.

Aufgaben

• Tissue trimming and embedding.
• Sectioning/microtoming of processed and frozen tissues.
• Histochemical staining.
• Immunohistochemical staining (auto-immunostaining instrument) as well as infrequent manual staining.
• Instrument maintenance (tissue processor, autostainer, cover-slipper).
• Distribution and filing of cases, slides, and blocks.
• Opportunities to trim fixed tissues and aid in optimizing novel antibodies for immunohistochemistry.
• Other duties as assigned.
