Job summary

Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC) is seeking a Histology Technician in Anchorage. Under general direction, you will perform tissue processing, specimen prep, and quality control to support ANTHC's comprehensive health services. This role requires ASCP-certified histology expertise and at least one year in a clinical lab.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in clinical pathology or equivalent required.
• 1 year clinical laboratory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient specimen preparation.
• Ensures sample suitability and quality control.
• Prepares tissue specimens for physician analysis.
• Evaluates and interprets test results.
• Maintains laboratory equipment and supplies.
• Trains new employees and students.
• Provides customer service to physicians, patients and providers.
