Job summary

Mass General Brigham’s Newton-Wellesley Hospital is seeking a Laboratory Support role to receive, label, and distribute clinical specimens and to process them within the laboratory information system. The position is on-site with a typical 40-hour work week in a hospital setting.

The ideal candidate has an Associate's Degree or a High School Diploma with 1–2 years of healthcare laboratory experience, and basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent required.
• Experience in a laboratory or healthcare setting 1-2 years preferred.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Receive, label, and distribute clinical laboratory specimens including blood, urine, and tissue samples.
• Process specimens by verifying patient information and accessioning into the LIS.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of laboratory supplies, reagents, and equipment.
• Follow procedures for specimen handling, storage, and disposal; ensure safety standards.
• Collaborate with laboratory staff and healthcare providers to ensure timely processing.
