Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare specimens by embedding tissue with proper orientation and cutting tissue to diagnostic size.
• Perform tissue embedding, sectioning, and mounting for evaluation by the Pathologist.
• Perform special stains as required and ensure adherence to established standards.
• Follow established quality control procedures and document discrepancies.
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and report issues to supervisor.
• Prepare cytology specimens including slide preparation and registration.
• Adhere to Universal Precautions and safety policies and wear protective equipment as required.
• Report to workstation on schedule and follow attendance policies.
