Job summary

Bronson Healthcare in Kalamazoo is seeking a Histotechnologist/Histology Technician for the 1st shift (5a-1:30p). You will prepare histological slides, fix, process, and stain tissue sections for microscopic evaluation by a Pathologist.

This role requires QA, safety adherence, and the ability to work independently. Candidates should have NAACLS-accredited histotechnician training or equivalent, with recent clinical experience and certification readiness.

Qualifications

• Recent NAACLS Histotechnician program completion within five years.
• One year of full-time histopathology lab experience or related field in last five years.
• One of the following: 60 sem hrs with biology/chemistry or an associate degree with biology/chemistry, or military histotechnician training within ten years.

Responsibilities

• Prepare histological slides by processing tissue sections for microscopic examination.
• Operate and maintain histology equipment; follow QC and safety policies.
• Assist in training new staff and students; support CLIA regulatory responsibilities as needed.
• Document testing procedures and corrective actions; ensure accuracy of patient reports.

Biology & Chemistry credits / associate degree

50-week U.S. military histotechnician training (within 10 years)
