Job summary

Gastro Health in Framingham, MA is seeking a Histology Technician for a part-time, PRN role. You will prepare reagents, process tissue, and assist pathologists under supervision, ensuring accurate data entry in the LIS and adherence to safety protocols.

The position offers a collaborative team environment, regular daytime hours, paid holidays and benefits, and opportunities for growth as the lab expands. Prior histology experience is preferred, ASCP certification is required or eligible.

Qualifications

• HT or HTL ASCP certification preferred.
• Previous histotech experience preferred.
• Associates or Bachelor's degree in biology or related field required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare reagents and routine histology from accessioning to cover slipping.
• Enter correct clinical data into the LIS (order, demographics, results).
• Maintain and troubleshoot automated equipment; manage reagents and supplies.
• Perform routine staining, special stains, and esotaic tests as requested by pathologist.
• Adhere to safety regulations and QA/QC processes.
