Qualifications

• Associates degree in Laboratory or Biological Sciences required.
• Possess a national certification as a Histology Technician or be registry eligible upon hire and obtain HT certification within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Receives and prepares tissue specimens for routine and special examinations.
• Performs complex histological procedures using embedding, microtomy and staining to prepare slides.
• Review slide quality and maintain/repair lab instruments.
• Maintain lab safety, quality control and QA standards; interact with other staff as needed.
