Sanford Health Marshfield histology position seeks a technician to receive and prepare tissue specimens for routine and special examinations. You will perform embedding, microtomy, staining, and ensure slide quality while maintaining instruments and safety standards.

The role is full-time, 40 hours weekly with 8-hour night shifts. Requires an associate degree in Laboratory or Biological Sciences and HT certification within 12 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Laboratory or Biological Sciences required.
• Histology Technician HT certification from an approved agency (ASCP) or registry eligibility with certification within twelve months.

Responsibilities

• Receives and prepares tissue specimens for routine and special examinations.
• Performs complex histological procedures including embedding, microtomy, and staining for diagnosis.
• Review slide quality and maintain lab instruments.
• Follow safety, quality control and QA standards; interact respectfully with staff and patients.
