Job summary

HonorHealth is seeking a Histology Tech II for Shea Medical Center in Scottsdale, AZ. The role is evening, part-time, 1500-1900, requiring HT certification and 1 year of histology experience.

You will embed tissue, perform microtomy and staining, and assist with IHC and special stains, while maintaining compliance with CLIA, CAP, OSHA, and HIPAA standards. The position supports training of new staff and ongoing quality improvement within the pathology lab, contributing to accurate diagnostics

Qualifications

• Associates for HT-Histotechnician certification required.
• Bachelors for HTL-Histotechnologist certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Histology Tech II performs embedding, microtomy, staining, and ancillary tasks.
• Operates with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety in laboratory functions.
• Assists with training new employees and mentoring students, and supports laboratory quality programs.
