Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of related histology experience.
• Visual acuity and above average dexterity.
• Must be able to read, write, speak fluently and comprehend English.

Responsibilities

• Accessions specimens brought into the laboratory for processing.
• Assist PAs or pathologists with grossing in specimens.
• Load, change, clean and troubleshoot histology processors.
• Decalcification of bone specimens.
• Cover slipping and routine H&E staining.
• Perform IHC testing if qualified.
• Perform embedding and microtomy.
• Monitor quality control within predetermined limits.
• Ensure safe working environment and compliance with policies.
