Qualifications

• Minimum experience as a Histology Technician or one year of training under a registered Histology Technologist.
• Licensing from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) Histotechnologist (HTL) required.

Responsibilities

• Use lab equipment including microscopes and microtomes.
• Sort specimens and record in pathology log.
• Embeds specimens and prepares tissue for analysis.

Skills

Ability to work effectively independently

Ability to communicate in English

Knowledge of medical/surgical terminology

Education

Graduate of an accredited Histotechnology program
