Job summary

Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, NM, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Histology Technician to support pathology services and patient care across our network. You will perform histology tasks with accuracy and ensure timely processing while following our standards for quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Completion of a certified Histology Tech program.
• Completion of appropriate training/internship.
• License: CLA or equivalent training in histology.

Responsibilities

• Performs all items in the Histology Competency Assessment Booklet and completes competencies.
• Meets turn-around-time standards.
• Maintains orderly filing system for blocks and slides.
• Blocks and preps slides accurately.
• Orders Histo/Cyto supplies.
• Enters information into Windowpath computer system.
• Completes statistical/QA reports timely.
• Maintains equipment.
