Job Summary and Qualifications

We are looking for a Histology Technician to provide expertise and support our team. We value hard work and a patient-centered approach.

You Will:

• Perform stat procedures, timed studies, and routine tests within established turnaround times.
• Embed tissue specimens correctly at a rate of 45-60 seconds per block.
• Section paraffin blocks at 35-40 blocks per hour.
• Produce sections with correct thickness and minimal artifacts.
• Perform routine H & E staining.
• Prepare smears, cell blocks, and Cytospin preparations.
• Conduct quality control procedures and document processes to ensure specimen integrity.

You Should Have:

• A 2-year/Associate Degree in Science.
• A State of Florida Technician License or ability to obtain one.
• Specialty in Histology.
• 1-2 years of experience in a high-volume histology setting is preferred.
