Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Register/accession patient data and specimen information into the Pathology computer system.
• Verify specimen/patient identification upon receipt for evaluation.
• Research and document discrepancies in patient IDs and specimen labeling.
• Perform cytology and pathology preparation on patient samples.
• Handle sendout duties, enter clerical and billing charges, packaging and tracking.
• Coordinate fetal disposition with nursing, Bereavement, and funeral home as applicable.
