Adventist HealthCare's Capital Choice Pathology Lab in Silver Spring, MD is hiring an experienced Histology Supervisor. You will oversee the Anatomic Pathology operations, supervise staff across shifts, and drive quality and regulatory compliance.

The role requires leadership, lab experience, and ASCP certification. The position is full-time (40 hours/week), day shift (Mon-Fri 3:00 AM - 11:30 AM) with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science or health science field required/preferred.
• 4–7 years of clinical laboratory experience in Anatomic Pathology/Histology; Cytology/Non-Gyns preferred.
• 1–3 years in a lead/supervisory role in Histology; HT(ASCP) or HTL(ASCP) certification.
• Color Vision test required for accuracy in work.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Anatomic Pathology Department operations, ensuring accurate testing, regulatory compliance, efficient workflow, and timely reporting of results.

Capital Choice Pathology Lab

Adventist HealthCare's Capital Choice Pathology Lab seeks to hire an experienced Histology Supervisor for our Silver Spring, MD location who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

As a Histology Supervisor you will:

• Oversee daily Anatomic Pathology Department operations, ensuring accurate testing, regulatory compliance, efficient workflow management, and timely reporting of laboratory results.
• Directly supervise, train, and mentor laboratory personnel while monitoring daily workflow, ensuring adequate laboratory coverage and staffing across all shifts, as well as performing laboratory bench work, and escalating production issues as they arise.
• Researches and resolves laboratory matters, drives continuous process and service improvements, ensures equipment compliance through Quality Control, methodologies, and maintains accurate Quality Assurance records and documentation.
• Meet regularly with direct reports to provide constructive feedback and coaching for their professional development.
• Ensures laboratory compliance with federal and state regulations, governing laws, organizational policies and procedures, manages employee payroll, personnel records, and performs administrative functions to support daily operations.

Qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s degree (BA, BS) in a science or a health science related field preferred.
• 4-7 years of clinical laboratory experience with a focus on Anatomic Pathology/Histology. Experience with Cytology/Non-Gyns preferred.
• 1 to 3 years in a lead or supervisory role with a focus in Anatomic Pathology/Histology.
• HT(ASCP) certified or HTL (ASCP) certified
• Color Vision test is required for accuracy in work.

Pay Range:

$77,313.60 - $115,980.80
