Capital Choice Pathology Lab in Silver Spring, MD is seeking an experienced Histology Supervisor to oversee the Anatomic Pathology Department, ensuring accurate testing and timely reporting of results.

The role involves leading, training, and mentoring staff across shifts, maintaining quality records, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. This is a full-time on-site position with a salary range listed in the posting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BA, BS) in a science or a health science related field preferred.
• 4-7 years of clinical laboratory experience with a focus on Anatomic Pathology/Histology. Experience with Cytology/Non-Gyns preferred.
• 1 to 3 years in a lead or supervisory role with a focus in Anatomic Pathology/Histology.
• HT(ASCP) certified or HTL (ASCP) certified
• Color Vision test is required for accuracy in work.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Anatomic Pathology Department operations, ensuring accurate testing, regulatory compliance, efficient workflow management, and timely reporting of laboratory results.
• Directly supervise, train, and mentor laboratory personnel while monitoring daily workflow, ensuring adequate laboratory coverage and staffing across all shifts, as well as performing laboratory bench work, and escalating production issues as they arise.
• Researches and resolves laboratory matters, drives continuous process and service improvements, ensures equipment compliance through Quality Control, methodologies, and maintains accurate Quality Assurance records and documentation.
• Meet regularly with direct reports to provide constructive feedback and coaching for their professional development.
• Ensures laboratory compliance with federal and state regulations, governing laws, organizational policies and procedures, manages employee payroll, personnel records, and performs administrative functions to support daily operations.

Adventist HealthCare's Capital Choice Pathology Lab seeks to hire an experienced Histology Supervisor for our Silver Spring, MD location who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

As a Histology Supervisor you will:

Employment Type: Full Time

Toymal Daily Schedule: Monday- Friday 3:00AM- 11:30AM with flexibility

Shift Type: Day Shift

Pay Range: $77,313.60 - $115,980.80
