Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in San Diego seeks an Associate Scientist II to advance the Toxicology Histology team, designing tissue-based workflows and delivering high-quality histology data from animal studies.

The role is onsite five days a week in San Diego, reporting under the Team Lead with independence in routine and advanced histological methods. Responsibilities include end-to-end histology workflows, tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, staining, and data handoff, plus IHC/IF

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in Histology field or a B.S in Science with 1-2 years of Histological work.
• Familiarized with ELN, IHC, microtomy, basic anatomy.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute end-to-end histotechnology workflows for preclinical studies.
• Perform paraffin microtomy and cryosectioning of tissues 5-7 µm.
• Run routine automated tissue processing and embedding; identify issues and fix.
• Conduct immunohistochemistry (IHC) and/or immunofluorescence (IF).
• Maintain records in notebooks/ELN and assist with SOPs.
