Job summary

Nebraska Medicine is seeking an entry-level Histology Technician to learn the theoretical and practical aspects of preparing biological material for histological analysis. You will support tissue preparation and assist in delivering timely pathology information.

This role provides a foundation in histology with opportunities for growth, tuition assistance, and a pathway to advanced training within Nebraska Medicine and UNMC collaboration.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent required.
• Education and training equivalent to 60 semester hours from an accredited institution that includes either 24 semester hours of medical laboratory technology courses or 24 semester hours of science courses with chemistry/biology components.

Responsibilities

• Learn the basic knowledge and practical skills in preparing biological material for histological analysis/diagnosis.
• Support continuous improvement of laboratory services to ensure high quality pathology information for diagnosis.
