Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision of laboratory personnel.
• Oversee daily laboratory operations including scheduling and troubleshooting.
• Identify and troubleshoot problems affecting pre-analytical processes.
• Coach and mentor histotechnologists and histotechnicians.
• Manage testing and validation of new laboratory equipment and procedures.
• Lead process improvements, validation and inspection preparation activities.
• Document quality control procedures and corrective actions as needed.
• Train new laboratory personnel and procedures with existing staff.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Biomedical Laboratory Science, Clinical Science or related field

ASCP Board of Certification in HTL (preferred)
