Job summary

Rockford Gastroenterology Associates Ltd. seeks a Histology Supervisor to direct the daily operation of the Histology Laboratory and be accountable for staff, quality, compliance, and turnaround.

The Supervisor remains a working technical expert, performing routine and specialized histology techniques and serving as the department's technical resource. Qualifications

• AS degree in Histology is required for the role.
• BS in Histology or related science is preferred.
• Proficiency with histology equipment and quality systems.
• Leadership experience supervising lab staff is expected.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily operation of the Histology Laboratory.
• Supervise staff, ensure turnaround times and quality control.
• Maintain compliance with CLIA, HIPAA, and safety policies.
• Coordinate with pathologists, Medical Director, and administration.
• Lead process improvements and manage supplies and equipment.
