Job summary

Labcorp in Torrance, CA is seeking a Laboratory Assistant I to join our Histology team. This role supports specimen handling, safety procedures, and data entry, with a Tue-Sat schedule 12:00pm-8:30pm.

Responsibilities include following SOPs, preparing reagents and quality control materials, maintaining documentation, and assisting training. A High School Diploma is required; one year lab experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Comfortable handling biological specimens
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet turnaround times

Responsibilities

• Perform department duties per SOPs and maintain audit trails
• Handle specimens and assist with sample analysis
• Prepare and label reagents and QC materials

• Assist in training new employees and instrument maintenance
