Job summary

CSI Laboratories, a Fulgent Genetics Company, is seeking an Imaging Specialist to support histology workflow and QA. You will match completed slides to LIS cases, verify labeling and case summary accuracy, and ensure complete, ready-for-review cases for pathologists.

Working under the Histology Supervisor/Manager, you will uphold safety, quality controls, and documentation, while maintaining patient confidentiality and supporting training of new staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in histology or LIS systems is a plus.
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced lab.

Responsibilities

• Assure safety, quality control, and policy adherence.
• Perform case assembly by matching slides to LIS case and case summary.
• Verify slides are present, labeled correctly, and match LIS and case summary.
• Flag discrepancies and hold cases until resolved; do not alter slides or paperwork.
• Sort cases by type and report type to support workflow.
• Update LIS with case status and location; route completed cases to pathologists.
• Assist with filing and retrieval of blocks and slides as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and protect patient confidentiality.
